The Smoked Green Olive Phenom!

Since I was given a container of green olives a year ago to throw in my smoker, things have really started to blow up for me with these tasty bites that have been described by Roberto Rogness at Wine Expo in Santa Monica as “where crack meets the hot sex of olives”.   Roberto isn’t the only one who feels this way and the raves keep pouring in.

Wine Expo in Santa Monica started serving the smoked olives in their brand new tasting room about a month ago, a mix of Sicilian and Greek, and are now selling jars of them in the awesome retail section.  They come packed in extra virgin olive oil that can be used in a number of ways.

Over the last year I have sold hundreds of vacuumed sealed bags all over the country to friends, family, and clients and now, thanks to Roberto and Wine Expo, I am smoking olives almost everyday.  Both and LA Weekly blog site have mentioned the yumm that is my smoked green olives.  I am now in process of researching the mass production of them, followed by world domination.

They are available at Wine Expo and directly from Orgasmo de la Boca.  To purchase or request more information, or if you would like to feature Orgasmo de la Boca Smoke Olives in your specialty store,  please email Chef Alessandra at

Portland Picks-Hostess with the Mostess!

Alisa Sloan from Portland Picks, a weekly online mag featuring all the great local things about Portland, came to my Southern Sass dinner to check out Orgasmo de la Boca.  In the end she had the greatest time and left a few pounds heavier, but felt that the name was a little too much for Portland Picks?  She did write me up, but gave props to my private chef/catering business, Happy Belly instead.  Here is the small write up in the July 4th, 2008 edition of Portland Picks

Hostess with the MostessWe love to entertain—especially when it involves good food. There’s just one problem: We don’t cook. And we can’t plan a menu to save our life.

But we know someone who can! Personal Chef Alessandra Innamorato brings a lifetime of cooking to the table, preparing every single dish from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. Infused with style and playfulness, they’re just the ticket for making our dinner party a success, and leaving us to do what we do best: party!

Sunset Magazine Writeup

Orgasmo de la Boca has finally gotten some press here in LA!  After 2 years of doing these events in LA and a total of 6 in all, we finally get a little recognition.  August’s Sunset magazine has a small write up about the “guerilla dining” scene being the new “hot” way to dine out.  Of course, we all know that it has been around for many, many years.  I have found Los Angeles a particularly difficult city to produce these dinners in.  I think mostly due to the “waiting for something better to come along” or “will I feel like driving” attitudes that rule our fair city of angels.   The crash of the economy hasn’t helped me either, but I march on!

Please join me at the next Orgasmo de la Boca in August, Dinner and a Movie.  I will be making an upscale picnic feast with mixed grill.  This is a family friendly event and there will be a bar/lounge area for the adults and a play area for the children…so they don’t spill our drinks!  Check it out under my events section!

Orgasmo de España

This was my first Orgasmo de la Boca in a public space.   I have a new appreciation for those who put on large scale events after not only coordinating food and staff, equipment, preparation, set up, and execution of menu, but for the first time attempting to bring in a musician and some visual arts in the form of projection.   It’s always a learning process and this was a big one.

The space, High Profile Productions in Culver City was one of the most incredible spaces I have worked in.  Gorgeous, big, and with an awesomely large kitchen.  I felt a lot of pressure for the party to live up to this space and my food to live up to the hype.  This being the first party I did since destroying my thumb on my left hand, which is still in a brace, I was extremely nervous, not to mention clutzy and uncoordinated.   Luckily I had a small army of luscious ladies and one hot bartender to get me through the night.

I wish I could say the party went off without a hitch, but it never does.   A few issues with the musicians and then the projector not working right, the party definitely lacked in the audio visual part, but luckily my mad skills mad up for in the sensual and belly pleasing portion.   It was also lucky that I have a few other mad skills and was able to do this for the crowd!!
